Hey, everyone who’s reading this =)

Thank you for visiting my blog!

The about page? Hmm… I always hate it when I have to write something about me on facebook, youtube, or any other site. Oh well, might as well try saying something here… *warning I have a strong tendency to blabber out of topic* . Okey, Let;s see how I started off with this blog.

I decided to start this blog as a way to keep track of my progress in learning Korean *sort of?*.

Well, see.. I’m the kind of person who LOVE to learn new languages and cultures! I have learned French, and English *obviously* (for my native language is Indonesian) and now I’m learning Korean.

It started off when I was in highschool. I was introduced to Korean language by one of my friend, whose boyfriend back then is a Korean who live in Indonesia (there is amazingly a huge amount Korean residing in Indonesia).  He taught us all the bad words (that’s how you usually learn a new language anyway,eh?!). Then,I bought a Korean-Indonesian dictionary and a pocket learning book and self-taught my self how to write and read Hangul without knowing the meanings. What came after was that, I started my addiction of the dramas and movies that were booming in Indonesia. Yes, I admit I’m a drama junkie. But K-drama and K-pop have helped me a big deal!

I’m not only interested in the language. I ‘m deeply in love with how a culture works and affect its people. In this case.. I’m deeply in love with Korean culture ♥. I don’t know how and why. I just “feel” it, if you know what I mean.. =)

Now living in Vancouver as a communication major student at SFU, I’m working hard whipping my self to catch my falling stars (They say when you make a wish when a star is falling, your wish will come true, eh?). I’m aiming to, at least, do a co-op (internship) in Korea. My biggest catch? to work in Korea in the entertainment industry, maybe as a PD or creative director (hey! I’m a communication major! that’s how I shall rock the world!)

dream big girl….dream big and fight for it! I’m allowed to dream big, no?! =) Yeah.. visit my ‘pursuing ‘IT’ page for more story of my goals.

Has my Korean improved? I hope so! =) I’m now learning it *informally/semi-formally* with the helped of my fellow Korean students in a club at SFU. I’m watching all YouTube channels that contains Korean entertainment, *again* doing a self-taught lesson on the pop-industry itself, the culture, and the language.

So how does this blog work? Consider it that you’re reading my note-book. I will gather a lot of information from all over to first informed my self and then sharing it with you all at the same time. The topics will be decided from what I want to know more from watching K-entertainment or having to know it from somewhere. =)

Say, why don’t I do it for my own culture? Well, I’m promoting Indonesian culture in some other ways. I taught Indonesian and the culture to a foreigner once. I will also share it through a club at SFU. My main focus is different. In Korean culture I would like to get informed and to experience it, hoping I could pair them up with my future goals. Whereas in Indonesian culture, I would like to practically share my knowledge and my love to the culture. It’s like finding someone “like me” who fall in love with Indonesian culture and sharing what they wish to get.

So, anyone up for helping me out in this journey is most welcomed and will be GREATLY appreciated!

anyway… again.. thank you for visiting this blabbering site..
